Empowerment and Mentoring of Fishermen Groups
The Fish Bank program is not only engaged in conservation efforts but also in accompanying and mentoring fishermen groups. We encourage them to become groups that are more organized administratively and also build strong character. This mentoring is based on the principle of No One Left Behind, which is a fundamental concept in sustainable development, as outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Everything begins with a commitment marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Fish Bank and the fishermen groups as partners, ensuring that both parties share responsibility in fulfilling the entrusted mission.
The mentoring process is carried out consistently and continuously. It does not stop after the development of the Fishbank Bamboo module or the deployment of the bamboo structures but continues to this day. The support continues until the fishermen groups meet all the indicators required to become truly independent.
Fish Bank walks alongside the assisted fishermen groups to learn, grow, and soar together. We empower the small without diminishing the great — No One Left Behind.
