ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT
The Economic Program serves as the foundation for encouraging the assisted fishermen groups to become self-reliant. One of the tourism potentials being developed by Fish Bank Indonesia, in collaboration with the assisted fishermen groups, is the promotion of educational tourism (eduwisata).
Pantai Ria Bomo, developed together with the community-based surveillance group (Pokmaswas) Benteng Samudera and other corporate partners such as YBM PLN, has already become one of the popular tourist destinations. Gradually, supporting facilities and infrastructure for educational tourism at Pantai Ria Bomo have been established, including a gate at the entrance, a pavilion for visitors to relax, and a food court featuring a variety of local cuisines.
The food court is operated by local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) from the Pantai Ria Bomo area. These MSMEs are part of the economic empowerment efforts aimed at ensuring that the Bomo community does not rely solely on income from fishing. So far, the businesses have mainly focused on simple culinary ventures. Insya Allah, in the coming years, they will continue to grow and expand into other business sectors.
